NKBM Would Like to Acquire PBS and Banka Celje, Says NKBM Chairman

Ljubljana, 29 July - Nova Kreditna banka Maribor (NKBM), is an important enough bank to play the role of the first or second financial pillar in Slovenia, newly-appointed NKBM chairman Crtomir Mesaric told the business daily Finance, stressing that the bank's new strategy would be to go through with a capital increase and become the carrier of a strong banking group, which will try to get in its ranks Banka Celje, Slovenia's sixth largest bank, and Postna banka Slovenije (PBS).
