Foreigners Show More Interest in Slovenia, Slovenes Prefer to Go Abroad

Ljubljana, 29 July - Slovenia attracted 544,936 foreign tourists, in the first six months of 2002, which is an increase of eight percent over the same period last year, while Slovenes seem to prefer other countries, as there was a two percent decrease in domestic visitors, with only 385,551 visiting Slovene tourist destinations from January through June.
