Slovene Ombudsman Gets More Complaints About Violations of Patients' Rights

Ljubljana, 31 July - The Slovene Ombudsman recorded a higher incidence of complaints about violations of patients' rights in 2001, receiving 40 complaints in the year, up more than 100 percent over 2000. Most of the complaints made by citizens claimed mistakes in medical procedures, while another target of grievance were the long waiting lists, the ombudsman established in his report.
