Environment Minister Comments on Slovenia's Electricity Market
Ljubljana, 7 August - Slovene Environment Minister Janez Kopac believes that Slovene companies must get ready for the arrival of foreign competition by the time Slovenia's electricity market opens up on 1 January 2003. Undoubtedly some companies will have difficulties adjusting, but there is no turning back, said the minister, explaining that the date cannot be postponed due to obligations towards the EU.
