Ceplak Wins Gold for Slovenia at European Athletics Championships
Munich, 8 August - Slovenia's top track athlete Jolanda Ceplak fulfilled all expectations of Slovene fans watching the European Athletics Championships, as she won Thursday the women's 800 metre event with 1:57.65, outrunning her pursuers by more than ten metres. Mayte Martinez of Spain finished over one second behind the Slovene champion (1:58.86), while Great Britain's Kelly Holmes won bronze with 1:59.83.
