Forty New National Councilors to be Elected in November

Ljubljana, 12 August - After Slovene voters are through with the first round of presidential elections on 10 November, it will only be a fortnight before a new National Council, the 40-member upper chamber of the Slovene parliament, is to be elected for a five-year term. On 27 November, representatives of local interests will be elected, followed a day later by elections of representatives of employers, employees, farmers, tradesmen and independent professions.
