Hotel Koper Closed for Failure to Maintain Legionella-Killing Water Temperature
Koper, 12 August - The hotel where a German tourist recently contracted the lethal Legionella bacteria and died was closed on Saturday and remains closed until further notice, as health inspectors only measured 43 degrees centigrade in the hotel's hot-water system, instead of the recommended 60 degrees or over, STA was told Monday by the Koper Institute for Public Health. Another measurement is to be taken today.
