Slovene Students to Have Homeland Education?
Ljubljana, 12 August - The Slovene Defence Ministry has come up with an idea of introducing a new subject into higher grades of elementary and secondary school, called "homeland education", which is to give students basic knowledge of Slovenia's national security system. The subject is to be tested in some schools in 2003, according to a report of the daily Delo, and the test would serve as a basis for a final curriculum a year later.
