Ombudsman to Propose Establishment of Authority for Prevention of Discrimination
Ljubljana, 12 August - Slovene Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek said he would propose to the Slovene parliament to set up an institution that would promote tolerance in all areas, as he responded Monday to a recent initiative by former Constitutional Court judge Matevz Krivic. Krivic called for the establishment of a "council for the promotion of respect for religion and irreligion", which would help and intervene whenever there are obstacles in the way of free practice of religion.
