Slovene Central Bank to Examine KBC Request for Qualifying Stake
Ljubljana, 13 August - The council of the Slovene central bank, Bank of Slovenia, is to hold a session on Tuesday to examine the request of Belgian banking and insurance group KBC for the acquisition of a 34-percent qualifying share in Slovenia's largest bank, the Nova Ljubljanska banka (NLB). Analysts expect that the central bank councilors will take a decision on the matter this time around, as this is the fourth time that the matter is to be looked at.
