Privatisation of Electricity Distributors Will go Ahead in 2003, Environment Minister Says

Ljubljana, 15 August - The Slovene government is planning to carry out a privatisation of Slovene energy distributors, intending to sell minority stakes in the regional companies next year. Citing statements from the Slovene Environment Minister Janez Kopac, the daily Delo says that irrespective of privatisation, the government intends to keep majority ownership in these companies for some time to come.
