Lawmakers to Decide What Former Slovene Presidents are Entitled to
Ljubljana, 15 August - Slovene President Milan Kucan is to end his second term in office this December, thus becoming the first former president in the independent Slovenia. Having noted a lack of legislation dealing with privileges of former presidents, the government drafted a bill on the presidential office this March, which has not made it on the parliament's agenda as yet. The latest predictions see the bill, which has been questioned by some because of its apparent lavish nature, being discussed before the autumn elections.
