Ljubljana, 18 August - Schedule of events in the week from 19 to 25 August:

MONDAY, 19 August

LJUBLJANA -Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to hold a press conference about Slovene-Croatian relations.

CERKLJE NA GORENJSKEM/BLED - Slovene President Milan Kucan and Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek are to separately receive U.S. Congressman Henry Hyde.

LJUBLJANA - The National Party (SNS) is to give a press conference on the participation of Roma in the local self-government in the Dolenjsko region, southeastern Slovenia.

LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) and the association of young Slovene designers are to hold a press conference on the restructuring of the Slovene textile, clothes and leather industries as part of the two-day "Modni utrip", a major event in Slovenia organised for the professionals involved in the fashion business. On Tuesday a fashion show presenting the 2003 spring-summer collection of major Slovene fashion houses will be opened by GZS President Jozko Cuk.

WEDNESDAY, 21 August

BLED - Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres, who is to visit Slovenia, is to meet Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek and Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel. He is also expected to meet with Slovene President Milan Kucan.

LJUBLJANA - The Government Public Procurement Office is to hold a press conference presenting the 2001 report and addressing some current issues.

SATURDAY, 24 August

GORNJA RADGONA - The 40th International Agriculture and Food Fair is to open at Gornja Radgona. It will run until 31 August.
