Slovenia Will Consult with the EU About U.S. ICC Initiative, Rupel Tells U.S. Congressmen

Piran, 18 August - Like other EU candidate countries, Slovenia will consult with the Union about a possible signing of a bilateral agreement with the U.S. that would prevent the extradition of U.S. citizens to the International Criminal Court (ICC), Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel said on Sunday while meeting a delegation of U.S. Congressmen at the Slovene coastal town of Piran. The agenda was dominated by Slovenia's NATO membership and bilateral co-operation, Rupel said after the meeting.
