Interbrew's Proposal for Capital Injection Was a Legitimate Move, Union Says
Ljubljana, 19 August - "The extension of the agenda of the extraordinary general assembly was legitimately proposed by the shareholder Interbrew, and this is someting the management of Union cannot oppose to," the Slovene brewer Pivovarna Union on Monday said in a press release, rejecting all allegations that the company does not observe regulations and business code. Interbrew, a 41-percent owner of Union, has proposed that a fresh supply of capital for Union be debated at the assembly amidst a takeover battle for the company with Pivovarna Lasko, the largest brewer in Slovenia.
