Roma and Foreigners Bring Fresh Wind to Slovenia's Local Elections
Ljubljana, 21 August - Paralel to the presidential elections on 10 November, Slovenes will also elect 193 mayors and 3,000 municipal councilors in local elections that promise to bring some changes. The main ones are the implementation of the Roma's right to have an elected representative in the municipal council, and the voting right for foreigners with permanent residence in Slovenia.
