Slovenia's Public Procurement Hits almost EUR 1.3Bn Last Year
Ljubljana, 21 August - Public procurement in Slovenia stood at SIT 292.4bn (EUR 1.28bn) in 2001, amounting to almost a quarter of the whole year's budget expenditures, director of the Public Procurement Office Igor Soltes told a press conference on Wednesday. About 3,000 direct and indirect users of the state and municipal budgets in Slovenia are obliged to publish public procurement orders to purchase goods or services, but a precise list is still being drafted by the Finance Ministry, the director explained.
