Arrested Slovene Citizen Joras Goes on Hunger Strike in Croatia's Prison
Koper, 22 August - Josko Joras, a Slovene citizen living in the disputed strip of Slovene-Croatian border land who was arrested by the Croatian police on Wednesday under charges of civil unrest, went on a hunger strike on Thursday, Slovene diplomatic sources as well as his lawyer have confirmed. While Joras insists that his home is located on Slovene territory, his village would fall under Croatian authority in line with the initialed Slovene-Croatian border accord.
