Registration of Political Parties in Slovenia Formalised by 1994 Act, 36 Currently in Register
Ljubljana, 22 August - Anybody wishing to set up a political party in Slovenia needs 200 adult Slovene citizens, a catchy name, some money for notary verification and a good understanding of the act on political parties. If all of the above is secured, the next step is to file an application for the entry in the political parties' register at the Interior Ministry and if all conditions are fulfilled, the party should join the register of Slovene political parties, which currently includes 36 parties.
