Slovene Police Has Authority over Entire Piran Bay, Says Interior Minister
Koper, 23 August - The Slovene police has been supervising the entire Piran Bay since independence in 1991, as it had done in the former Yugoslavia, said Slovene Interior Minister Rado Bohinc after meeting with the Koper police on Friday. Any Croatian police boat entering the sea 0.15 of a nautical mile off the shore of the Savudrija peninsula is regarded as an incident by the Slovene police, while the Croatian police regards the middle line in the Piran Bay as the are where incidents occur, said Bohinc.
