Slovene Side Agrees on Fishing Permits in Neighbouring Sea
Izola, 23 August - Slovene fishermen and the Agriculture Ministry reached on Friday an accord on fishing permits and supervision of the catch, as foreseen in the Slovene-Croatian accord on border co-operation (SOPS). According to government counsel for fisheries Franc Potocnik, the SOPS, as far as sea fisheries are concerned, could thus be implemented as of 1 October 2002.
