Ljubljana/Maribor, 24 August - The assertion made by U.S. Senator John McCain (R) on Friday that there is no connection between U.S. support of NATO candidates and their decision to sign a bilateral agreement giving U.S. troops immunity before the International Criminal Court (ICC) echoes in the Slovene press on Saturday. While the daily Delo asks what the U.S. actually has in mind given that the safety checks against abuse of the ICC are not enough for it, Vecer claims that Slovenia has no other choice but to reject the U.S. agreement.
