New SBI 20 Record of Over 3,250 Pts Fuelled by Lek Deals
Ljubljana, 26 August - The Slovene benchmark SBI 20 index broke another record after exceeding 3,000 points Monday, closing at 3,256.67 points, up 259.69 points or 8.67 percent from Friday, recording the biggest daily gain in the SBI 20's history. The index's value was fuelled primarily by deals involving shares of Lek, a Slovene drug-maker approached by a potential takeover bidder last week, whose share gained as much as 37 percent today.
