Sulphuric Acid from Chemical Plant Kills Tonnes of Fish
Ljubljana, 26 August - More than two tonnes of fish died in a two-kilometre strip of the Ljubljanica river in Ljubljana on Monday, because the chemical factory Belinka KTM poured over 100 litres of sulphuric acid in the river. STA was told by the Ljubljana regional information centre that the accident happened during a re-pumping of the acid from a tank.
