Lasko Gets 24.24 Percent Of Voting Rights, Interbrew Capital Increase Unlikely
Ljubljana, 27 August - Pivovarna Lasko will have 24.24 percent of voting rights at the upcoming extraordinary assembly of brewer Pivovarna Union, the Slovenian Competition Protection Office (CPO) decided on Tuesday. The decision in effect prevents Lasko's rival for the takeover of Union, Belgium's Interbrew, from succeeding with a capital increase that would allow it to gain the majority stake in Union which it had failed to get in two previous public takeover bids.
