Slovenian Golden Eagle Spreads Her Wings
Ljubljana, 30 August - There are less than 40 pairs of golden eagle in Slovenia, dwelling mostly in mountainous areas. As irresponsible interference in nature and an unscrupulous persecution of preyer birds have affected Acquila chrysaetos rather badly, it has been listed as an endangered species several years ago. The last Slovenian eagle from this year's generation has just recently left her nest.
