Loss of Duty-Frees Blamed for EUR 1.4 Million Q2 Loss of Emona Obala Koper

Ljubljana, 31 August - Retailer Emona Obala Koper recorded a loss of SIT 316m (EUR 1.4m) in the first six months of the year, pinpointing last year's closure of duty-free shops as the main reason for the loss of revenue. 2001 was the worst year in the company's history, the management said, disappointed with the sluggish performance of its 24/7 chain of stores which was expected to make up for the lost income.
