Slovenian Police Should be Concerned about White-Collar Crime, Criminal Expert Says
Ljubljana, 1 September - It has become a notorious fact that the system of combating white-collar crime in Slovenia is disorganised, Drago Kos of the government corruption prevention office told the daily Delo, pointing out the lack of police information about the white-collar crime. He also criticized an inadequate approach of the police leadership and politics in general towards the work of the criminal police. If the attitude changed today, it would take a decade for the criminal police to get to the level they were ten years ago, said Kos, who is also a member of the Council of Europe group of specialists on criminal law and criminological aspects of organised crime.
