Slovenia's NATO Entry Would Create Balance in the Region, Says NATO Official
Ljubljana, 2 September - Slovenia should get an invitation for NATO membership for two reasons, said Monday head of a delegation of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly which is visiting Slovenia. First of all, because it meets all membership criteria, and secondly because it has a strategic position in the Balkans, so its entry into NATO in the autumn would create a new balance in the region, the assembly's Vice-President Mario Palombo told the press.
