Ljubljana, 3 September - The STA English service will cover the following events on Wednesday, 4 September:
LJUBLJANA - Finnish Minister of Foreign Trade and European Affairs Jari Vilen is expected to arrive for a working visit. Meetings with Europe Minister Janez Potocnik, Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel and Slovenia's representative in the convention on the future of the EU, Lojze Peterle, are expected to focus on EU enlargement and the work of the convention and bilateral relations.
LJUBLJANA - The general managers of the Slovenian Restitution Company (SOD) and the Pension Fund Management (KAD), Igor Kusar and Joze Lenic, will present their views on the takeover of Slovenian drug-maker Lek. Swiss pharmaceutical Novartis last week expressed its intent to takeover Lek, while there has been no official response from the two largest shareholders - SOD and KAD - which together control around 26 percent of Lek.
LJUBLJANA - Shareholders of Nova Ljubljanska banka (NLB), Slovenia's largest bank, are to hold a general meeting to appoint a new supervisory board, as the Belgium banking and insurance group KBC and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) are entering NLB.
