Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee Wants Release of Joras
Ljubljana/Zagreb, 3 September - The Slovenian parliamentary foreign affairs committee urged Slovenian authorities to do all for the immediate and unconditional release of Josko Joras from a Croatian prison during Tuesday's emergency session, called by two opposition parties. Joras, a Slovenian citizen who claims that his house in the disputed Croatian-Slovenian border strip is on Slovenian territory, was taken to hospital today as he pressed on with his hunger strike while serving a 30-day prison term in Croatia for not paying fines that Croatian authorities issued for civil disturbance.
