Croatian FM Says Date of Drnovsek-Racan Meeting to Be Known Today
Zagreb, 4 September - "We shall know today when another meeting between Slovenian and Croatian Prime Ministers Janez Drnovsek and Ivica Racan is to take place," said Croatian FM Tonino Picula in Zagreb on Wednesday. He added he would try to arrange a meeting as soon as possible, perhaps as soon as Friday. Croatian Ambassador to Slovenia Celestin Sardelic today asked to be received by Drnovsek so that he could pass on Racan's letter in person. The letter contains Croatia's standpoint for further talks, said Picula. While the Slovenian PM's office has not yet confirmed the news, a message was released that Drnovsek would give a press conference on relations with Croatia at 5 PM.
