Portoroz Hosts NATO Joint Medical Committee Conference
Portorož, 6 September - A regular annual meeting of the NATO Joint Medical Committee (JMC) kicked off on the Slovenian coast on Friday and is to discuss the planning and measures in case of disasters, the use of biologic and chemical weapons and epidemics. This year's conference is for the first time held in a non-NATO member state and has welcomed representatives of civilian and military medical personnel from 28 of 46 NATO countries. This morning, JMC chairman for the next three years became Arild Kovdal.
