Slovenian Marathon Swimmer A Day Away from Historic Feat
New Orleans, 8 September - Slovenian marathon swimmer Martin Strel is only a day away from finishing his record-breaking swim of the longest river in the U.S., the Mississippi. Exhausted and aching after more than 3,700 kilometres and 67 straight days of swimming, Strel is expected to make it to the Mississippi delta, the Head of Passes, at around 8:00 PM CET on Monday.
