IFJ Concerned about the Independence of the Slovenian Public Broadcaster
Ljubljana, 9 September - Secretary General of the International and European Federations of Journalists (IFJ/EFJ) Aidan White has protested against the inclusion of journalists working at the public radio and television network RTV Slovenija into the act on wages in the public sector. In a letter to Slovenian President Milan Kucan, White pointed out that this is not in line with the principles of financial independence of the public broadcaster.
