Slovenian Becomes the First to Swim Length of Mississippi
New Orleans, 9 September - The longest river in the United States has been conquered. Slovenian marathon swimmer Martin Strel has become the first person to swim the length of the Mississippi River, in a project that saw the 47-year-old swim a total of 3,800 kilometres through ten U.S. states.
