Slovenian Agriculture Minister Confident about Compromise in EU Agriculture Talks
Nyborg, 9 September - Slovenia could reach an agreement on agriculture with the EU in the accession talks that would meet the country's wishes, Slovenian Agriculture Minister Franci But said Monday at an informal meeting of his counterparts from the EU candidate countries and the member states in Denmark. The candidate countries' general message today was that they would stick to key demands in the agriculture talks, however they believe that compromises could be achieved that would make it possible for the accession talks to close by the end of the year as planned.
