STA Coverage on Wednesday, 11 September

Ljubljana, 11 September - The STA English service will cover the following events on Wednesday, 11 September:

NEW YORK - Slovenian President Milan Kucan is to attend a ceremony marking a year since the terror attacks on the U.S.. The president is to be joined on his visit to the U.S. by Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, who is to remain in the States until 18 September.

MOSCOW - A sizeable government and business delegation is to travel to Moscow a day before Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek is expected to begin a two-day red-carpet visit to Russia, his first official visit there.

LJUBLJANA - Slovenia's Europe Minister Janez Potocnik is to comment on the European Commission's proposal that Slovenia become a net payer to the EU budget upon its admission to the 15-nation bloc.

LJUBLJANA - A development report will be outlined by the Institute for Macroeconomic Analysis and Development, based on its monitoring of the implementation of Slovenia's strategy of economic development.

CELJE - The 35th international trade fair is to kick off, featuring 1,700 exhibitors from over 30 countries on a surface area of 60,000 sq. maters.
