Ljubljana Airport Sees Drop in Traffic
Brnik, 11 September - The global aviation downturn triggered by last year's terrorist attacks and the arrival of low-fares carriers to Italy and Austria have affected business results of the manager of the Ljubljana airport, Aerodrom Ljubljana. In the first eight months of 2002 the airport saw 19,617 touchdowns and takeoffs, down two percent year-on-year, while the number of passengers dropped by five percent to 590,979, the company said Wednesday.
