STA Coverage on Friday, 13 September

Ljubljana, 12 September - The STA English service will cover the following events on Friday, 13 September:

NEW YORK - Slovenian President Milan Kucan is to wrap up a four-day visit to the United States. Before heading home, Kucan is due to address the 57th United Nations General Assembly. Meanwhile, Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, who is also visiting the U.S., is to hold a meeting with his Yugoslav counterpart Goran Svilanovic and attend a meeting of foreign ministers from the Network for Human Security.

MOSCOW/BRATISLAVA - Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek is to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the final day of his two-day official visit to Russia. Drnovsek is then to head for Bratislava, where he is to take part in the CEFTA Summit on Saturday.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry (KGZS) is to present its views on the possibility that Slovenia would become a net contributor to the EU budget upon accession. KGZS officials are also to examine the progress made in the restructuring of Slovenian agriculture and its activities following the September 5 protest.

PORTOROZ - The final day of a two-day meeting of Slovenian business leaders. Participants are to touch on changes in communication, while the meeting is to be wrapped up with the presentation of presidential hopefuls.
