President Kucan to Address UN General Assembly Today
New York, 13 September - Slovenian President Milan Kucan is to adress the opening session of the 57th UN General Assembly on Friday, with which he will conclude his four-day visit to New York. On Thursday, Kucan listened to the speech held by U.S. President George W. Bush at the opening of the UN General Assembly and attended a lunch held by UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. He also met his Albanian counterpart and the Jordanian foreign minister, prior to attending a reception hosted by the U.S. president.
