Takeover of Lek will Require a Lot of Co-ordination, Central Bank Governor Says
Maribor, 14 September - A lot of co-ordination will be necessary if the Swiss multinational Novartis actually takes over the Ljubljana-based drug maker Lek, believes the Bank of Slovenia Governor Mitja Gaspari. "If the central bank did not intervene on the market with such transactions as is Novartis's, tolar could gain as much as twenty percent in nominal terms, and such appreciation could not be endured," Gaspari told the Saturday issue of the daily Vecer.
