Ljubljana, 15 September - The STA English service will cover the following events on Monday, 16 September:
SALZBURG - Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek is to take part in the European Economic Summit 2002. On the first day of the two-day summit, Drnovsek is to attend a discussion on the future of Europe.
OTTAWA - Slovenian Defence Minister Anton Grizold is to begin a two-day visit to Canada. During his stay, Grizold is due to meet with his Canadian counterpart John McCallum and other high representatives of the Canadian government and defence forces.
LJUBLJANA/LIPICA - Finnish Minister for Agriculture Jari Koskinen is to be on the final day of a two-day visit to Slovenia. He is scheduled to meet with Slovenian host and counterpart Franci But. Also on the agenda are talks with Slovenia's Europe Minister Janez Potocnik and the president of the Slovenian Chamber of Agriculture Peter Vrisk. Before leaving Slovenia, the Finnish delegation is to pay a visit to the Lipica stud farm, the home of the Lipizzaner horses.
LJUBLJANA - Slovenia is to be paid an official visit by the Chief of the British Defence Staff, Admiral Michael Boyce. The British official, who has been invited to visit by Slovenian counterpart Brigadier Ladislav Lipic, is to hold talks with his host in Ljubljana. Admiral Boyce is also scheduled to meet with President Milan Kucan, Defence Ministry State Secretary Milan Jazbec and the chairman of the parliamentary defence committee Rudolf Petan. Admiral Boyce is to be accompanied by the head of the British mission to NATO Emry Jones Parry.
