Grizold and Canadian Defence Officials Discuss Ways to Expand Co-operation

Ottawa, 17 September - Slovenian Defence Minister Anton Grizold on Monday evening met with his Canadian counterpart John McCallum, who expressed support for Slovenia's bid to join NATO. High on the agenda was also bilateral co-operation in defence, which was assessed as being solid. Grizold was pleased with his talks in Canada, saying that he does not only see Canada as a supporter and ally of Slovenia, but also a good friend. He discussed concrete ways of expanding bilateral co-operation with the Canadian Vice-Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant-General George Macdonald.
