WASHINGTON - Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is begin a visit to Washington to meet an advisor to the centre for strategic and international studies, Zbigniew Brzezinski, who was also a national security adviser to the U.S. president. Togehter with Slovenian Defence Minister Anton Grizold, Rupel is to hold several meetings with Pentagon and National Security Council officials.
LJUBLJANA - The purpose of a several-day visit of a Kosovar parliamentary delegation is to be presented to the press in the morning by Speaker of the Slovenian Parliament Borut Pahor and his Kosovar counterpart Nexhat Daci.
LJUBLJANA - A report on the course of accession conference dealing with regional policy, compiled by Europe Minister Janez Potocnik, is to be discussed by the Slovenian part of the association committee and the parliamentary European affairs commission at a joint session.
BRUSSELS - Slovenian Interior Minister Rado Bohinc is due to attend a three-day conference on the fight against smuggling of people, to be held in the European Parliament.
LJUBLJANA - Puppets 2002, an international puppet festival, is to kick off, featuring 18 productions from Belgium, Bulgaria, Italy, Poland, France and Slovenia.
LJUBLJANA - The ninth recipient of the Marjan Rozanc Fund award for best collection of essays is to be announced.
