Slovenian Capital Market in the Focus of Stock Market Conference
Ljubljana, 18 September - Addressing a wide range of issues relevant to the Slovenian capital market, Tuesday's Stock Market Focus conference could not go past the prospective takeover of Slovenian drug maker Lek by Swiss Novartis. Lek chairman Metod Dragonja dispelled fears that shareholders would see the share value plummet if Novartis did not acquire Lek. He stressed that although shares would dip they would still be worth more than before the takeover plan was announced.
