Slovenian Agriculture Ministry Owes Vets EUR 4.5 Million
Ljubljana, 18 September - The Slovenian Agriculture Ministry owes the National Veterinary Institute and some private veterinary institutions more than SIT 1 billion (EUR 4.4 million). Veterinarians and Agriculture Ministry officials - on the initiative of Janez Kramberger, president of the government committee for agriculture - informed Financial Minister Anton Rop of the issue on Wednesday. According to Kramberger, the money is for BSE tests carried out by the veterinary institutions.
