Opponents of Railways Privatisation Bill Seek In-Depth Debate in Parliament
Ljubljana, 19 September - Six railways trade unions are pressing to have an extended parliamentary debate on what they claim is a faulty bill on restructuring and privatisation of Slovenian Railways (SZ). The bill was given the green light on Wednesday by the parliamentary committee for infrastructure and environment and is set to go through parliament in emergency procedure - a new manner of adopting bills which has replaced the fast-track procedure.
