Minister Grizold Sees no Problem in Slovenia's Accession to NATO

Washington, 20 September - Slovenia's Defence Minister Anton Grizold continued talks on Slovenia's bid to join NATO with U.S. officials in Washington on Thursday, meeting with Pentagon senior officials and members of the Senate. Assessing the talks in Washington as well as talks in Canada beforehand, Grizold suggested that there should be no difficulties in Slovenia's bid to receive an invitation to NATO. Grizold also insisted that membership of the Alliance is the best way for Slovenia to secure an efficient national defence.
