Novartis Will Have to Supplement Its Takeover Intent
Ljubljana, 23 September - The Slovenian Securities Market Agency has demanded that Swiss pharmaceutical Novartis supplement its takeover intent for leading Slovenian drug-maker Lek. Novartis said last week that it would publish its takeover bid in euros, while the agency and the Slovenian central bank believe that Novartis has to pay Slovenian tolars for Lek shares. The two say that a payment in euros can only be the second option, the public TV Slovenija network reported.
